How Georgia made room to get back on track
Between work commitments, spending time with the family, household chores and keeping a social calendar, it might seem impossible to add anything else to your plate. It’s little wonder then that most people tend to sacrifice their health and exercise just to keep up with their daily routines.
But making room in the day to get back on track should be seen as a priority, and after suffering from hormone irregularities as well as trying different contraception options to not feel ‘yuck’, Georgia Monzari finally ensured she made the time to get fit and strong with her partner by joining a brand new gym near her house in late 2020 and make an effort to track her body composition.
“We all had a weird year that year,” she says.
“I was having a really yuck time back then, and a friend mentioned Body Fit Training to me, saying there was one opening up near my house; my partner and I basically joined straight away. I fell in love with the training, lifting weights and even cardio as well as the community aspect that Body Fit Training Hamilton East prides itself with.”
Georgia’s Training Goals
Georgia did all her training through Body Fit Hamilton East, with set classes that mixed between cardio and strength training. She’d also signed up for an 8 week challenge, which was her first experience stepping up onto an Evolt 360 body composition analyzer and seeing, for the first time, all the figures correlating to her health and what she needed to do to get to her optimum level of health.
“Through the Evolt scanner, I was given macro targets to hit towards my goals, and Body Fit has a nutritional plan during their challenges with meals that can help you hit those targets,” Georgia explains.
“I followed the nutritional plan word for word, annoying my partner by making sure every inch was weighed out exactly, and cut out alcohol for the entire course of the challenge.”
“For me, preparation was key. I made sure my lunches for the week were made each Sunday, and this included my snacks for each day. Having all your food ready to go stopped me from walking to the shop or stopping in at a café.”
In terms of supplements, Georgia would have a protein shake after each workout and whenever she needed a bit more protein in her diet. She also used a pre workout for those cardio days.
